Announcements

  • Applications for access to the Octopus or Ultra facilities of the Central Laser Facility (CLF, UK) between 1st July and 31st December 2025 opened on 21st November 2024. ​​If successful, access will be fully fund​ed (facility overheads, UK travel, accommodation and food).​ Proposal submission will close on Thursday 23rd January 2025.
  • The Extreme Light Infrastructure ERIC (ELI ERIC) launches Mission-Based Access Programme with Inertial Fusion Energy (IFE) Call. Researchers are invited to submit an Expression of Interest by the 28th February 2025, 5:00 PM CET, followed by a final project proposal by the 30th May 2025. The programme is designed to accelerate progress in Inertial Fusion Energy and contribute to the scientific advancements needed for sustainable energy solutions. Selected applicants will be granted access to extended beam time for up to 3 years, enabling the execution of ambitious research projects.
  • The Inertial Fusion Energy Science and Technology Accelerated Research (IFE-STAR) Conference will be held in Breckenridge, Colorado, on 7-11 April 2025.
  • The 11th International Conference on Frontiers of Plasma Physics and Technology (FPPT-11) will be held in Dubrovnik, Croatia, on 5-9 May 2025.
  • The 53rd Annual Anomalous Absorption Conference (AAC2025) will be held at Sedona Hilton Resort at Bell Rock, Arizona, on 11-16 May 2025.
  • The 8th International Conference on Matter and Radiation at Extremes (ICMRE 2025) will be held at Xi’an, China, on 12-15 May 2025.
  • The 20th Direct-Drive and Fast Ignition Workshop (DDFIW2025), will be held at GSI Helmholtzzentrum für Schwerionenforschung GmbH, Darmstadt, Germany, on 19-22 May 2025.
  • The 5th International Workshop on Proton Boron Fusion will be held in Belgrade, Serbia, on 25-28 August 2025.
  • The 13th International Conference on Inertial Fusion Sciences and Applications (IFSA2025) will be held in Tours, France, on 14-19 September 2025.
  • The 9th Asia-Pacific Conference on Plasma Physics (AAPPS-DPP2025) will be held at Fukuoka International Congress Center, Fukuoka, Japan, on 21-26 September 2025.
